How to Start a Screen Printing Order

At Show Me Logos we sell a variety of brands and styles in every price range. Under the Shop Products tab on our website, you will find several online catalogs. Search any of these catalogs to find the perfect item for your custom screen printed order. In an effort to simplify the process, not all products we sell are online. Create Your Design
There are several ways to create a design for your screen printing order.
1. Let our in-house art department create the perfect design for your customized screen print order. We offer a wide range of graphic design services.
2. Use the online Design Studio to create the art for your custom t-shirts. You can upload your own designs or edit the designs, fonts, and clip art provided in the design studio.
3 Search over 25,000 design templates under the Design Inspiration tab. Each of these templates can be personalized for your project.
4. Send us your existing art or logo via email or upload your files on the Contact Us page
How much does it cost?
We would love to work on a quote for your next customized apparel project. Each project’s pricing varies. We need to know a few details to get you an exact quote.
How many shirts are in the order?
Quantity is important when creating a quote. The more items in your order, the less the cost per item. Custom orders require set-up time. The expense of setting up to print can be divided into over 12 items or over 500 items. Therefore, an order of 500 T-shirts is less per item than an order of 12 T-shirts. An important consideration when providing quotes is to calculate the time needed to create an order.
What garments are in the order?
Not all shirts are created equally. Some are soft, some are thick, some have long sleeves and others have hoods. All have different pricing. What design are we using for the order?
With screen-printing, the more colors in your design, the more time we have in the setup and printing. Therefore, printing more colors increases the cost of your garments. Printing in more than one location increases your cost as well. Screen Printing the front and the back of a T-shirt is more time-consuming than just printing the front, for example. To create a design, search the design templates and studio under the DESIGN INSPIRATION tab on the website. Or send us your ideas and let our in-house art department create the perfect design.
NOTE: Digital printing is a different process for creating tees and is ideal for designs with many colors or small quantities. Contact us for details. We print Direct to Garment in-house.
Where are you screen printing my order?
Orders are screen printed in-house at Show Me Logos. We have a print room in our warehouse with state-of-the-art machinery. Currently, the team members running the screen print room have a combined 20+ years of screen print experience.
What are the benefits of in-house screen printing?
- Accuracy: We count orders before printing and again after the order is printed to ensure your order is complete.
- Quality Control: If we print a design and question the color, location, or even spelling, we will stop production and double-check the details. Don’t count on the large online print companies to make sure your order is correct. They will print whatever you send.
- Timeliness: We take pride in completing orders in the time frame promised. At Show Me Logos we meet deadlines.
- Pride: We are working directly with our customers and it makes us proud when you receive our best work.
- Pricing: We do not have to mark up the cost after someone else prints your order. We are printing in-house so you can eliminate the extra cost added by the “middle man”.
Can I order one more item after the original order has been completed?
With most orders, you can print one more item after completing your screen print order. However, the price of a single printed item will not be the same price as the order with the larger quantity. Contact us for a quote, production time, and details.
What is the minimum order?
Screen printing is a great process for large quantities but not for small quantities. First, we create art. Then we burn the screens. Next, we set the screens up on the press and print the order. Last, we take the screens off the press. We re-claim screens when an order is complete; we can use those again for the next order. Because of the setup time involved, there is a minimum for a screen print order. The minimum number of items is 12 for a one or two-color screen print order. If there are 3 or more colors in the design or multiple locations, the minimum is 20 printed items. The minimums apply to items per design, not to the garment style.
NOTE: There are many ways to create your printed apparel order. Contact us for details regarding orders that do not meet the minimum. Depending on the garment and the art, we are able to print single items.
What is the return policy for screen printing custom apparel?
Your order is custom-created just for you. Because it is a customized order, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If there is a defect in your order, we will repair or replace the item within 7 business days of receipt. If any items are missing from your order, they must be reported within 7 business days of receipt.
When can I expect the order to be completed?
It can depend on when do you need the order completed. Check with us and we will tell you if we can get your order completed when needed. Ideally, we need 10 business days. This gives us time to order the product, get the design set up and print the order. However, depending on the current workload and the availability of the items in your order, we are often able to complete screen-printed orders in less time.
Can I use my own apparel for screen printing?
Our store policy is that we only decorate items that were purchased through Show Me Logos. We sell a wide range of apparel and brands that come at every price point. Search our online catalogs under the SHOP PRODUCTS tab on our website.
